San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was initially a second round pick in the NFL, but did you know he was also selected in the 43rd round by the Chicago Cubs before he even entered the college ranks? Yep, but of course, he chose to pursue his football career and didn’t even play baseball in college. In the NFL, he got a chance and took the starting job and ran with it, literally, as he became one of the top dual-threat QBs in the game. He led his team to a Super Bowl appearance in his first year and will be facing off against Wilson in the NFC Championship game for a chance to get back to the Super Bowl. Although he has fallen off quite a bit since his Super Bowl appearance, I think it is fair to say Colin picked the right sport.
