10. Charlie Criss

5 foot 8 inches

Criss didn’t exactly take the easy route to get to the NBA. He went undrafted and knocked around the old Continental Basketball Association for several years. He made the most of things when he finally made it to the NBA, as he averaged 14.2 points per game during a 10-year career. Not bad for a 5-foot-8-inch tall guard nobody wanted.

9. Herm “Red” Klotz”

5 foot 7 inches

Even though Klotz was only 5-foot-7-inches tall, he and his fiery red hair was easy to spot. His NBA career lasted just 11 games as a member of the Baltimore Bullets in 1947-48, but the impact he left on basketball was enormous. A few years after his NBA playing days was over, he founded the Washington Generals, the team that has been playing the comic foil for the Harlem Globetrotters for more than a half century.
