7. Martellus Bennett

Texas A&M

Before Martellus Bennett was a threat down the middle as a tight end for the Chicago Bears, he was a force in the middle as a backup post player for two seasons at Texas A&M. He wasn’t a star but he was a nice little spark for his team off the bench. He scored 51 points and grabbed 42 rebounds in 30 games for the Texas A&M basketball squad. Not a stat stuffer, by any means, but his presence was always felt on the basketball court – and that’s really all you want from a backup big in college.
